SUMMARY:Mindful Movers Kids Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Unplug\, move\, and connect! This class is designed specifically for the physical and emotional wellbeing of students navigating their new worlds.  We combine a “cool” atmosphere—complete with great music—with engaging yoga sequences that build strength\, enhance flexibility\, and develop focus.  Each week features a new theme to help participants navigate social pressures and build self-confidence. This class is non-competitive and fun\, focusing on teamwork\, partner poses\, and learning how to feel comfortable in your own skin. \nMondays 3:30 – 4:30pm starting May 4th\, 2026 \nAges 8-12+ \n$100 for 6-week series\, $20 drop-ins \nRegister by email: 4marionhoran@gmail.com \n  \nMeet Marion Horan: \nMarion’s love for yoga began when she attended a yoga retreat in 2017.  The practice and time away ignited a deep yearning for self that has blossomed over the years into a passion for helping others find their own internal connection.  Using Yoga as a vessel for spiritual practice\, her journey has included various forms; Hatha\, Vinyasa\, Bikram and Kundalini.  Over her teaching years\, Marion has honed her craft to include the most effective modalities that harness the power of the breath with intentional movements that unleash positive benefits for body\, mind and spirit\, leading others towards their own inner enlightenments. \nIn addition to yogic practices\, Marion has an extensive wellness background as a nutritionist\, certified nutrition coach\, holistic health practitioner\, meditation guide and breathwork facilitator.  Her expertise lies in teaching others to notice and conquer their inner chaos\, to boldly step into the healthiest\, most thriving version of themselves. True freedom lies in having awareness and becoming the observer of our own thoughts\, ultimately gifting us with the power of choice to navigate each day with peace and conscious appreciation.

You’ll only need a mat for comfort during the exercises. Expect a comprehensive\, full-body workout that engages your core as well as your limbs. The sessions are designed to provide balanced training that supports overall physical health. \nThis class is beginner-friendly\, making it suitable for those new to Pilates\, individuals returning to exercise after an injury\, or anyone interested in revisiting the foundational principles of Pilates. Raised by a military father who valued fitness\, she grew up playing in boys’ baseball and soccer teams with her brothers\, running track\, marathons\, competing in outrigger canoe races\, cheering\, dancing\, and understands the commitment needed for a healthy\, active lifestyle.   \nGina’s journey to becoming a certified Pilates instructor was a transformative one\, sparked by a major car accident. The accident left her with significant injuries requiring three back-to-back surgeries. During her recovery\, she discovered Pilates’ healing benefits and decided to leave her successful private banking career in Los Angeles to train intensively with a master trainer whose philosophy is grounded and based on the Stott Pilates method. \nNow in Vermont\, she shares her love for Pilates\, weaving in the ‘Aloha spirit’ from her Hawaiian homeland which emphasizes unity\, harmony\, and kindness\, encouraging genuine connections enabling individuals to not only build physical strength but also to connect with their inner selves and find balance through the mind-body connection. \nWhen not in studio\, she spends her time renovating a 200+ year old farmhouse with her husband. Both are passionate about preservation and the arts and plan to use their barns as a community gathering space and future artist in residence retreat to inspire and support emerging artists and creative talent.
