Join Christina E. McCarthy for a gentle, yet powerful, stream of postures to relieve stiffness, promote recovery from injury and illness, and improve overall flexibility.
Yin Yoga poses are practiced on the floor and held anywhere from 3 – 5 minutes, offering an invitation to relax deeply within the web of our bodies, where we can find more space. Wearing comfortable clothing to support this evening repose, we use postures that stretch our connective tissues, supporting us in reaching beyond our physical and mental muscling, preparing us for meditation.
Some of Christina’s favorite poses that she will be sharing have fun names like: Dragonfly, Snail, Half Butterfly, Shoelace, Swan, Camel, and Pentacle.
No yoga experience required, this is for every body.
Classes in July will be held from 6pm-7pm on the following dates:
Tuesday’s: July 2, 16, 23, 30
Wednesday’s: July 17, 24, 31
Saturday’s: July 20, 27
$20 per class.

Yoga Yin Yoga 50 hr @ Omega with Biff Mithoefer

Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher 2 yr @ Greater Good Science Center, UC with Tara Brach & Jack Kornfield.
Currently teaching @ MCA in Londonderry Plaza, Tuesday’s :Yin Yoga 9-10 am & Saturday’s: Restorative Yoga 9:30-10:30 year round.
